PKBWL has instituted an investigation into accident involving helicopter Robinson R22 (OK-MAZ) that occured at EPLU aerodrome on 28/02/2023.
It was preliminarily found that during hover the helicopter yawed around its vertical axis and then the main rotor blades hit the ground and the helicopter fell on the left side. The helicopter was substantially damaged, no fire occurred. The pilot left the helicopter unaided and was taken to the hospital, from which he was released after tests.
